Education
Dr. Craner received his undergraduate education at
Princeton University (Princeton, NJ) where he earned
a bachelor of arts (BA) degree in chemistry and
graduated magna cum laude in 1984.
He earned a doctorate of medicine (MD) from Harvard
Medical School (Boston, MA) in 1988.
Dr. Craner completed his internship and residency in
Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital
(Providence, RI) / Brown University School of
Medicine in 1991, followed by a residency in
Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)/New
Jersey Medical School, graduating in 1993.
He received his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree
from Rutgers University/UMDNJ in 1993.
Board Certification
Dr. Craner’s board certifications are in Occupational Medicine (1995-Present) and Internal Medicine (1991-2012).
Professional Honors
Dr. Craner is an elected
fellow of both the
American College of Occupational and Environmental
Medicine (FACOEM) and the
American College of Physicians (FACP, Internal
Medicine).
Academic Appointments
Dr. Craner is an assistant clinical
professor in the Division of
Occupational and Environmental Medicine
(Department of Medicine) at the
University of California, San Francisco
School of Medicine since 1995. He is an
assistant clinical professor in the
Department of Internal Medicine at the
University of Nevada School of Medicine,
Las Vegas since 1999. Dr. Craner also
has an adjunct faculty appointment in
the Academy for the Environment at the
University of Nevada, Reno.
